About the job 

Alma has successfully built its procurement function over the past three years, establishing solid foundations including processes, tools, policies, and stakeholder engagement. We are now looking for a Procurement Specialist to operate, optimize, and scale this established practice as Alma continues its rapid growth in France and across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a mature procurement function (+/-10 M€ addressable spend projected in 2026), work autonomously on strategic sourcing projects, and directly impact business performance through smart supplier management and continuous improvement.

🎯 Main missions

1. Operate strategic sourcing & negotiations

  • Lead end-to-end tender processes (RFQ/RFP) across all spend categories as contracts come up for renewal
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal terms (pricing, SLAs, payment terms, exit clauses)
  • Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning
  • Manage suppliers selection in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision-making

2. Act as procurement business partner

  • Support all departments in their procurement needs through advisory, process guidance, and hands-on sourcing assistance
  • Manage Payflows workflow and ensure compliance with spend thresholds (<10k / >50k) and approval processes
  • Facilitate cross-functional projects requiring procurement involvement (e.g., PoCs, pilot programs, new tool evaluations)
  • Serve as the procurement point of contact for operational teams with external stakeholders

3. Manage supplier relationships & performance

  • Oversee relationships with top suppliers (those representing 80% of Alma's spend)
  • Monitor supplier performance and address operational challenges or service quality issues, in support with operational teams
  • Ensure contractual compliance and proactively manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations to avoid service disruptions or contracts lock-downs
  • Partnering with Legal to maintain an up-to-date contract repository with all key supplier agreements and documentation

4. Drive continuous improvement & insights

  • Optimize procurement processes based on feedback, pain points, and business evolution
  • Develop advanced analytics & reporting to provide spend visibility and actionable insights to Finance and leadership
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis, category strategies, and supplier consolidation
  • Support emerging topics such as AI vendor evaluation, European expansion sourcing needs, and so on

About you 

💡 Skills & knowledge

Hard skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in indirect procurement, ideally in a corporate or fast-paced scale-up environment
  • Proven track record of leading tenders (RFQ/RFP), negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and data-driven decision-making
  • Familiarity with P2P tools (Payflows or equivalent) and procurement best practices
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at all levels
